Gleptosil^® is a presentation of gleptoferron, a macro molecular complex containing iron in a readily utilisable form for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anaemia. The characteristics of Gleptosil^®, advantages, benefits as compared to competitor products makes Gleptosil® the most bioavailable injectable iron formulation on the market. Iron is a constituent of the red pigments haemoglobin in blood and myoglobin in muscle. Haemoglobin is responsible for the transfer of oxygen to all cells in the body, supporting cellular metabolism and the return back to the lungs of the carbon dioxide that results from cellular metabolism. Gleptosil® enables the production of healthy piglets avoiding anaemia problems at the farrowing and nursery units.
